Capt Bob and his gang of 7 visited Sunset Cove on Rice Lake for the 6th year, returning June 08, 2013 with about 1300 Bluegills and some perch. There is now a limit of 300 per angler. We have never brought that many back with us, so i guess the new limit doesn’t matter. The resort has drums for scaling the bluegills. These drums are made in Muskegon Mi. All the resorts have them so i bought one and its great. give me a call if you want more info. We all use electric knives and that makes short work of the cleaning chore. We then use Food Saver vacuum sealers to package the fish and make it easier for border personnel to check the catch. We were not checked this year but have been in the past. Pay attention to the rules and its not a problem.
The crew of “Desperado” would like to recommend to anyone that would be thinking of a Canada fishing trip to check out Canadianfishing.com . We will be gone from July 20 thru July 27 this year and will report our trip soon after. Hugh has a wonderful web site with all the information needed to make sure your trip to Canada is memorable.
